How to use Pendrive as Ram in windows 10/8/7

RAM a data storage device or a chip which stores the instructions and executes timely.Data can be read and write in same time. Most of the applications either in PC or in Android device RAM plays a major role.If the amount of RAM is low then our PC may go to the not responding state, because if the size of RAM is low and if we give many instructions at once then it can't handle properly. So to resolve this issue we will make our own small device flash-drive or pen-drive as ram.If you're are heavy user as well as heavy gamer then you must definitely increase the size of ram, which makes the PC to run faster.

So,now making use of pen-drive as ram helps to load balance the weight of RAM.If you're using an software like GNS3 then it consumes more amount of the Ram than normal so in that scenario using of pen-drive will share the load half of the amount and helps to run the application smoothly.Make sure you have a pen-drive of minimum size of 4GB which helps to share the load.Let's continue to the main concept how to use pen-drive as ram.

Method 1:

1  Insert your pen-drive to USB port.

2  Format all the data whatever which is present in it.Make sure you have backup of the data.

3  Go to "My Computer" and give right click and select "Properties".

4  In that again select on "Advanced system settings" which is visible on the left side 4th option click on that.

5  Look for "Advanced" tab and tap on it once and in that look for "settings" which will be visible on the right corner of that window.

6  Once when you click on that "Settings" option we will be getting "Performance tab" dialogue box.

7  In that "Performance tab" look for "Advanced" option which will be the 2nd option click on that.

Increase the RAM:

1  After clicking on the "Advanced" option in that small dialogue box we can find "Change" option click on that.

2  Once after clicking on the "Change" button virtual memory settings will be appeared on the screen.

3  On this what you have to do is just remove or uncheck the tick which is on "Automatically manage paging files size"

4  Our device name will be visible at the last select that device.

5  In that Custom Size option add the size of pen-drive somewhat less than the original size.

Remember:

Consider if you're using 16GB pen-drive for this operation available size by default is 14.9Gb then make sure to decrease the size of usage somewhat less than the full.Initial size will be 14009 then enter only 13009MB exact value which will be sufficient to run the applications smoothly.

1  Copy the same 13009MB value in the maximum size option also, don't change the values.

2  Check the above and below values are same and once everything is done click on OK button and apply.

3  Restart your PC once and under any circumstances don't remove the pen-drive to check the smoothness of software.

To check the amount of RAM has increased press "Windows+R" and in that type "dxdiag" where it will ask to bypass the system information. No need to worry just give yes and it will take 2seconds to load and there you can see the details of RAM and Current Bios Version etc.

Compare the previous size and current size it will be increased to the amount of size depending on the size of pen-drive which you used.

If you want to roll back the changes what you have done just go to the previous steps and this time check the option "Automatically Manage Paging file size" and remaining will be moving to default state normally.

Final words:
Now,we have made a pen-drive which works virtually as RAM.Make sure you don't format this pen-drive and use this pen-drive as RAM.As a suggestion pen-drive with 4GB will be enough for this activity. If you increase the size then system can't take enough load and this may go unsuccessful.Always remove the pen-drive manually by selecting the option "Eject".Don't plug out forcibly. You can roll back the changes whenever you want pen-drive to become as normal data storage device.
